When the Place Imbach was called Place des Halles
Under a threatening sky - and we did feel some rain drops nevertheless - Jean Michel Cauneau guided us into this interesting neighborhood Place Imbach.
This visit, organized by Inge Loineau, led 30 members to see through the former Roman walls to imagine the former Route to Paris, the former St Michael Road and the « Halles » (covered marketplace) to the former City Hall and Palace of Justice
After an hour and a half walking through this neighborhood, we stopped by at Twist, a local bar to have a hot chocolate or a cup of tea.
And of course to thank both Jean-Michel and Inge for their expertise and kindness to enlighten us with history and a walk to one of the first squares in Angers.
