GIFFARD in Avrillé where 15 members enjoyed a visit to the famous distilleryGiffard. 

Founded in 1885 by Émile Giffard, pharmacist in Angers,

he then transformed his pharmacy into a distillery to create the famous menthe-pastille

.

A guide showed them around and she told history of the family owned business.

The family owned business (100 per cent is owned by the Giffard family) employs about 100 employees.
A second distribution and distellery was opened in 2014 in St Léger des Bois.
