FLAVOUR WALK ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17

About 25 members, (new) friends and neighbors came together for coffee and tea at Lionel’s and Roselyne’s home - AIW Members,

for the flavour walk.

at 9.30 our walk around the town of Ecouflant started.

Sous un pâle soleil d'automne, le long de la Vieille Maine et de la Sarthe,

A pale autumn sun, along the Vieille Maine and the Sarthe River, we stopped midway for a blind wine tasting

one red and one white and also a bottle of water (also we had to guess this one) served in mini cups.

For the tasting in the middle of the route, you had to discover :

=) water and its Courmayeur brand

=) the grape variety of the red wine was Merlot from the Pays de la Loire region

=) the grape variety for the sweet white wine was a Burgundy melon, commonly known as Muscadet, from the Pays de la Loire region.

We arrived back where we started from at around 12.15pm.

The majority of the walkers stayed for lunch.

Many thanks to Lionel and Roselyn. Please note that the next rando will take place on Saturday March 29, 2025 at the end of the day (around 6 p.m.) with a gourmet break and a dramatized route.
