142nd CULTURAL OUTING IMPRIMERIE SEGUIN
Our 142nd cultural visit on 17 November was devoted to the bookbinding and gilding workshop of Charles Édouard Seguin, rue David d'Angers.
The company was founded by Mr. August Defody in 1870 and later sold to Charles Eduard's great-grandfather who belongs to the fourth generation.
Mr Seguin is accompanied on a daily basis by a bookbinder who gives youth and solidity to the works.
Mr. Seguin takes care of the gilding of leather on books and furniture.
For 190 years, hundreds of books have been restored here every year for private individuals, companies and various administrations.
This visit will be repeated on 19 January 2023, but unfortunately there are no more places available.
Here is a small overview of the Seguin printing house.
